Haresalam
and the Witness Who Never Saw

a novel · in progress

Three dreamers in a dying world must reach a wounded man in another world and convince him to put down the knife that saved his life. Only his dreaming keeps their world alive. And the knife is cracking the dreamer.

On the surface: a threshold-world of red dust and black stone, a galaxy in a puddle, and a force called Czailonn that does not arrive as darkness. It arrives as content.

Underneath: a human life turned into geography. One question, asked in every room:
What if the thing that saved you is now the thing destroying you?

  • the knife

Every character carries one. The knife once saved them. The knife is cracking them open.

  • the nothing

Czailonn does not conquer. It flattens. Dreams thin to humming, then to silence.

  • the cost

If they fail, both worlds end. If they succeed, they lose the one who loved the hardest.

songs of the world

The world sings first

Every place has a song. Every song carries a line that is also a door. The first one is the blessing itself.

The blessing song lives at the foot of this page.

More songs arrive as they are mastered.

First word

Fragments from a review that has not yet been written. Clipped, folded, kept between the pages.

  • The apocalypse will not announce itself. It will look like convenience.

    · on Czailonn

  • It builds a mythology out of a life rather than out of invented lore.

    · on the method

The full review is held in the chamber, waiting for the book it describes.
